Areas of Practice

FCDG’s main practice is litigation, representing clients before several courts and governmental agencies in Brazil, in cases related to private, corporate, construction and administrative law. FCDG’s practice also includes consumer’s rights, sports, notary law, including consultancy and legal representation restructuring and reorganization matters, intervention and extrajudicial liquidations.

FCDG has distinguished itself in the field of domestic and international arbitration, representing clients before several national institutions (Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce – CCBC, Brazilian Mediation and Arbitration Center – CBMA, FGV Conciliation and Arbitration Chamber, São Paulo Mediation and Arbitration Chamber (FIESP), Mediation and Arbiration Chamber of Engineering Institute), as well as in foreign ones (International Chamber of Commerce – ICC, The London Court of International Arbitration – LCIA, Court of Arbitration of Sport – CAS). FCDG provides consultancy on requests for recognition of foreign court decisions and arbitral awards, and assistance to clients in the elaboration, negotiation and risk assessment of arbitration agreements. FCDG partners also act as arbitrators in domestic and international arbitration proceedings before the main Arbitration Institutions.

FCDG offers extrajudicial counseling, in drafting and reviewing contracts and affidavits, analyzing commercial transactions and providing legal opinions on legal risk assessment.
